ARNALDO Rioja of Davao City emerged overall champion to receive P20,000 cash prize in the recently-concluded 29th Mayor Rody and Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte Kadayawan sa Dabaw Body Building competition held recently at the Gaisano Grand Citimall.

He topped the lightweight division and took home P2,000 and trophy. He bested King Sina, Ryan Oliver Laylo, Andrew Unasin and Lionilo Sigase who settled for the second, third, fourth and fifth spots, respectively. Sina and Laylo received P1,000 while Unasin and Sigase claimed P500 each.

Rioja also received special awards as the most muscular and best poser to collect a total of P5,000 cash prize aside from his overall purse.

Norberto Naning, for his part, seized the bantamweight title at the expense of next four placers Leo Tudaval, Lito Aparesi, Neil Fanilad and Patrocinio Collantes. They alrso received cash prizes.

In the heavy weight class, Dante Combi clinched the gold title to garner P2,000 and a trophy after defeating Ryan Cayman, Kid Primaylon, Alex Repollo, and Danillo Yap.

The event was sponsored by the city Government of Davao through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office organized as part of the 2014 Kadayawan Festival celebration.
