TEAM Duterte trounced IBP, 99-90, in Game 12 of their basketball friendly series to remain unbeaten on Friday night, July 28, at the Genesis 88 Gym.
Secretary Christopher Go sizzled from behind the arc, hitting eleven triples as Team Duterte stretched its lead to 10-0.
Go, the Special Assistant to President Rodrigo Duterte, came through with 53 points in a great display of shooting prowess.
He also shot nine baskets from within the arc owing to pull up jumpers and running jump shots.
The win was the second in a row for Team Duterte after the thrilling Game 10 draw and kept IBP winless in the series.
Armand Dioso paced with 34 points for IBP that could only muster two draws so far against Go and company.
Team Duterte also drew significant contributions from Joel Aberilla who scored 12 points while JR Rosal and Eugene Labor had 11 and 10 baskets, respectively.
Team Duterte and IBP battled to a 108-108 draw in Game 10 with both teams displaying superb offensive firepower.
They capped the high scoring game in a deadlock for the second time in four games.
Draw also settled Game 7 where IBP was on the threshold of tasting its first victory
But Team Duterte pulled off an unprecendented fight back, clawing back from 17 points down midway to finish the game to a 93-all.
