5 Pacman boxers win in Beijing

FIVE Davao City-based pugs of Manny Pacquiao (MP) Stable eked out victories in their respective divisions in the undercard of Mark Anthony Barriga and Wittawas Basapean fight on Friday, September 29 at the Heyuan Royal Garden Hotel in Beijing, China.

They were Jay-Ar Inson, Genisis Libranza, Vincent Astrolabio, Ronnie Baldonado and Rene Mark Cuarto.

Inson, a Davao City native fighter, won over Yang Cheng Jin via majority decision in an eight-round light welterweight bout.

Libranza of Agusan del Sur won via unanimous decision over Yu Jie Zeng in an eight-round flyweight clash even as General Santos' Astrolabio defeated Chao Peng on the same note in an eight-round super flyweight clash.

Baldonado of Cotabato del Norte stopped Iwan Zoda in the seventh round in a 10-rounder World Boxing Organizatin (WBO) Oriental flyweight fight.

Rene Mark Cuarto of Zamboanga Del Norte, for his part, subdued Guang Xiong Li in third round of the light flyweight match.

The 2012 Olympian Barriga, meanwhile, scored 100-90 on all three scorecards over Basapean in the main event.
