NONOY Calida, a duckpin veteran pintoppler, emerged champion in the PSB Seniors Quarterly Finals Tenpin Bowling Tournament held at the NCCC Mall B3 Center Lanes over the weekend.
Calida toppled a total of 1,683 pins after eight games in the event organized by the Philippine Senior Bowlers. He bested Rene Zabat, Sonny Dimaano and lawyer Rudy Tongo and Nestor Burgos who grabbed the next four places.
Zabat rolled 1,659 pins while Dimaano scored 1,586.
Tongo and Burgos, for their part, hit identical 1,580 pinfalls but the former had a higher handicap.
The champion received P4,000 while the second and third placers went home with P2,000 and P1,000.
Medals were given to the third and fourth placers.
