Holy Child defends Milo Passerelle plum

DAVAO City Athletic Association (DCAA) Meet back-to-back champion Holy Child College of Davao (HCCD) Reds also defended its title after beating Corpus Christi School of Cagayan de Oro City, 70-63, in last Sunday's finals of the Best Center-organized 32nd Milo Passerelle-SBP Regional Finals held at the newly-refurbished Rizal Memorial Colleges Fil Oil Flying V Arena.

The Reds, coached by veterans Nestor Sorrosa and Roger Rabago, will make their second straight appearance in the national finals where they placed third last year.

This year’s national finals will be hosted by Cebu City in December.

Rabago said the team eyes for a better finish this year with their rejuvinated roster.

"Mas dagko nami karon maong mas dako na tag chance mag champion. Paningkamutan lang gyud. (We are bigger this time and we also have a bigger chance to win. We will just strive)," he said.

Holy Child is composed of Dataya Yassin, Rysan Villasinda, Chucky Pacifico, Anscar Mamac, Miggy Belicario, Roy Antalan, Kyle Jamora, Francis Luke Corpus, Bryan Entero, Gabriel Borsige, Miguel Perez, Norman Mayola, Alexander Tila and Jan Curt Lobo.
