SINCE the Philippine National Games (PNG) was moved to April next year, the submission of requirements will also be extended until December 15 as per Sports Development Division-City Mayors Office (SDD-CMO) executive program officer Cindy Cruz-Enerio.
Enerio, in a Facebook interview with Sun.Star Davao, said the initial deadline of submission was on November 10, however, it is now been moved to a later date as there were newly-endorsed athletes including archers, boxers, table paddlers and weightlifters joining the city delegation.
"Arranged na talaga sana lahat yung records namin pero since may mga dadagdag so we will have the deadline on December 15," Enerio said, adding that athletes must submit their Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) birth certificate, two copies of 2x2 pictures and a medical certificate that certifies the athlete is fit to compete.
The PNG postponement was announced by Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman William "Butch" Ramirez in a PSC press conference held last November 3 in Manila.
Cebu City's initial hosting was originally slated on December 10 to 16.
"Some concerns were raised in holding it in December so we find it more appropriate to hold it in April instead," Ramirez said.
