THE San Pedro Police Station (PS) 2 will hold its first fun run dubbed as "Takbo Para sa Presinto Dos" that will kick off on Sunday, December 10, at the People's Park here.

They target 5,000 participants.

"There are many projects in our station but this is the first time to happen in all the police stations (to have a fun run). We have 30 students at DCPO (Davao City Police Office) and we have been wanting to provide uniforms for them," De Dios said.

DCPO director Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum and criminology students of University of Mindanao and Rizal Memorial Colleges have confirmed to join.

Police Officer (PO) 2 Jecyl Mae Pabingit, who was also accompanied by PO1 Rojemar Estocomen and PO1 Sarah Magdalene, added, "Kailangan din ng improvement sa station namin ngayon. We want more effective crime prevention which is very important."

Pabingit said the run features male and femal 3K and 5K categories.

Cash prizes await winners with the champion taking home P2,000 while the next two placers will receive P1,000 and P750, respectively.
