SBC tourney moved because of flooding

THE Sunday Bowlers Club failed to conduct its weekly Dalawahan Tournament at the Fairlanes Bowling Center due to flooding along F. Torres St. caused by the heavy downpour on Sunday night.
SBC president Emie Orteza said that because of the flooding only a handful of players showed up.
"Most of the players were not able to come so we put off the weekly qualifying altogether. The turnout of bowlers that night was not enough to push through with the event. We will resume on Sunday," Orteza said.
SBC holds a weekly singles tournament for class A, B, C and ladies players before it introduced the Dalawahan competition where participants get to pair themselves for better camaraderie and more exciting action to look forward to.
The organization is bent on preparing its members for the upcoming National Federation of Duckpin Bowlers of the Philippines (Fedbop) Tournament set in Tagum City.
SBC and the Davao City Bowlers Association (Daciba) teams are expected to defend the ladies title and recover the men's crown for Davao City this year. (MLSA)
