ARMED men bombed another tower in Lanao del Norte Wednesday, bringing the number of toppled tower in the province this month alone to seven and damage cost to about P5 million each.
A report reaching Sun.Star showed that unidentified armed men strapped four explosive devices onto the base of tower no. 12 located at sitio Taburo, Barangay Nangka in Baloi town. The armed men set the bomb off at 12:45 early morning Wednesday.

The incident plunged several areas in Lanao del Norte into darkness. It also caused the isolation of Agus 1 and 2 power plants in Lanao, affecting about 140 megawatts of power.
"Load curtailment schedule is being implemented per customer grid wide, as a result of the bombing," said an official of the NGCP.
Emmanuel Abellanosa, vice president for operation of the state-run National Grid Corporation, said they have no idea who is behind the series of tower bombings. He also did not confirm if extortion is the motive of the incidents. (Ben O. Tesiorna)
