SUBSCRIBERS of the pioneer and leading cable television in Dumaguete will enjoy high quality cable entertainment before the end of February 2014, a top official of the Skycable Dumaguete said.

In a press conference held at Bethel Guest House Thursday afternoon, Glynda Descuatan said Skycable Dumaguete rolled out their digital cable services to Dumaguete subscribers.

Descuatan said Skycable successfully launched its digitations in Dumaguete City on November 18.

She said subscribers from Dumaguete were able to experience the world-class entertainment and information that have entertained and bonded families from Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo and Baguio since Skycable introduced the digital cable service in 2009.

The shift from analog to digital gives subscribers access to a wider range of products and services that allow subscribers to customize their cable TV plan to fit their family’s viewing preferences and budget, said Skycable marketing division Arlene Torres.

Torres also said that family can start bonding experience with world-class cable channels, without creating a hole in the pocket, with the affordable Skycable Bronze 299, Skycable Bronze 399, and Skycable Bronze 499.

She also said that at very soon, the option to further enhance one’s cable TV viewing with the Dual Def Plans that combine standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) channels into one convenient and innovative plan, will be available in Dumaguete.

“Along with these new digital cable plans, subscribers also have the power to add individual SD & HD channels, on top of their basic plan, thus customizing their channel line-up based on their viewing needs through the revolutionary Skycable Select service,” she said.

She added that Skycable also brings cable viewing experience to the next level with iRecord, an HD Digibox feature that allows subscribers to record, pause, and rewind live TV.
