THE Traffic Management Office (TMO) of Dumaguete has allocated about P279,000 for the repainting of pedestrian lanes in the city this month.
TMO officer-in-charge Danilo Atillo said the repainting will be done to make the people aware that there are pedestrian lanes that could help avoid traffic condition in the city.
He said they are focusing on the repainting of pedestrian lanes in central business areas, including along public elementary schools in the city, especially that the opening of classes is fast approaching.
Atillo said the repainting was done in the evening to avoid traffic.
He said the project is part of the TMO’s program that started last May 21 and is expected to be done within two months. (Geraldine Mapula/Sunnex)
