THE Integrated Transport Terminal located at the back of Robinson’s Place-Dumaguete was inaugurated Tuesday morning.
The new terminal, owned by Robinson’s Land Corporation, upon its completion within this month will be turned over to Federation of Negros Oriental Drivers’ and Operators’ Association (Fedendoa), said Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria.
Sagarbarria said drivers will not pay even a single centavo for rental to Robinson’s; but the federation will shoulder the maintenance of the terminal.

Fedendoa president Jose Quitay, on the other hand, said the terminal will serve as pick-up points of public utility vehicles.
Buses owned by Vallacar Transit Incorporated are not included since it has its own terminal, Quitay told Sun.Star.
Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Ed Du, in a press conference, said they will hold a dry run before the full implementation of the integrated transport terminal.
Du added that passenger motorcabs are not allowed to enter the terminal.
He said there are many things to be ironed out for the convenience of the passengers. (Victor L. Camion/Sunnex)
