Capitol’s contractual workers to get P5,000 bonus-A A +A
Monday, December 16, 2013
JOB Order (JO) personnel of the Negros Oriental Provincial Government will receive P5,000 each as cash gift, Governor Roel Degamo said.
Degamo said the more than a thousand job orders who served at least one year will receive P5,000 each but those who served less than one year will be computed by 12 months.
Degamo explained that the JOs are those who worked with the Provincial Government as contractual bases.
The contract is available for three months and renewable if the Provincial Government still needs them depending on budgetary consideration and performance of the personnel who worked as JOs bases, he said.
He, however, stressed that personnel who worked as JOs are not entitled to additional cash gift base on salary standardization law.
“But they also have needs,” stressed Governor Degamo, adding, that to give them the meaning of Christmas, he urged the more than a thousand regular employees to share their blessings to JOs and takays. Takay is one month contract as project paid personnel.
The regular employees, the governor explained, have agreed to give at least P5,000 share from the P30,000 additional cash gift this year for the JOs and P1,000 for takay.
The P30,000 additional cash gift for regular employees was released Friday. The P5,000 cash for JOs will be released Friday.
