They had short stops at the ongoing construction of a central block in the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital, at the diagnostic center, at the provincial agriculture compound, the provincial veterinary office, and the Sidlakan Negros Village at EJ Blanco road in Piapi.
Public viewing at the Provincial Capitol is open 24 hours until Friday.
A mass to be officiated by Msgr. Merlin Logronio is scheduled Thursday, while the ecumenical service is scheduled in Friday evening.
The ashes will also be brought to the hometown of Macias in Siaton.
The burial will be held on Sunday at a public cemetery in Siaton. The late governor will be honored with a 21-gun salute, simultaneous with the dropping of flowers from a chopper.
PB member Macias told Sun.Star that flowers are welcome but would prefer donations if coursed to the Central Block Building Fund.
The Macias administration started the Central Block Building Fund project late last year as one of his legacy as a doctor by profession.
Meanwhile, outgoing President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo visited Dumaguete City Tuesday on board a chopper from Cebu, to pay her last respects to the late governor.
Arroyo, however, immediately flew back to Moalboal in Cebu, when told that the ashes had not arrived yet in Dumaguete.
