Valencia hosts Unigames

THE local government of Valencia will host the volleyball events of the Unigames from October 24 to 30.

The events for men and women will be held at the Valencia Gymnasium.

Foundation University, which plays over-all host to the 2008 Unigames, has earlier requested the Valencia municipal government to host the volleyball event with its available facilities.

Valencia Mayor Rodolfo Gonzalez Jr. accepted the invitation as this will be an opportunity to promote Valencia.

Valencianons, he said, will also have the chance to witness professional sports events. (Edmund B. Sestoso)
