The 11-year-old Espiritu of Xavier University Grade School yielded to Ronald Canino of Little Me School in Barangay Kauswagan. Abao, 13, of Regional Science High School in Barangay Gusa found his match with Ianbert Capricho of Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS).

Both toting a perfect 3-0 win-loss card, Camaman-an topped the Bracket 2 in the open division after posting convincing victories over Consolacion, Puerto and Barangay 13. While Lapasan moved into the next round when it ruled Bracket 3 that comprised teams from Barangays 10, 34 and 22.
