THE Techie IT Business '09, a gadgets and machines show for 2009, recently opened at the Gaisano Mall Atrium in General Santos City.

The event aims to showcase the latest trend in such technology that is both beneficial to producers and consumers.

Organized by the D'Ultimate Events Conceptualization and Management (D'UECM), the event opened on Monday last week as part of the Yaman Gensan celebration.

Anne Villarta-Alid, of the D'UECM, said that being a destination of both local and foreign investments, General Santos is also a source of globally competitive products and services.

"We are mounting this event to showcase the finest gadgets available in the market and the latest technological advancement the local market can offer to the public," she said.

"The exhibit highlights Gensan in the field of technological advancement, and will also offer an excellent opportunity for companies to share their success and business solutions," she added.

Among the companies that participating in the exhibit are the Epson, Octogon, Fiesta, PLDT, and others.

Alid said the participating exhibitors are also encouraged to conduct their audiovisual presentation from day 1 to day 7. The exhibit opened on July 6 and runs until July 19.
