THE Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) schedules eight peace covenant signing rites in six provinces and two highly urbanized cities in Western Visayas.
PRO6 director Isagani R. Cuevas said two of the eight peace pacts have already been forged in Bacolod City on Jan. 17 and in Iloilo province on March 4.

Cuevas revealed that six covenant signing rites are already set. Guimaras held it on March 5 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church, San Miguel, Jordan, he said.
In Aklan, it will be on March 9 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John de Baptist Church, Kalibo Cathedral, Kalibo.
Negros Occidental will be on March 10 or 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Provincial Capitol Multi-Purpose Center, Bacolod City.
The peace covenant in Iloilo City will be on March 13 but the time and venue are yet to be determined.
In Capiz, the pact signing will be on March 19 at 1:30 p.m. at Roxas City Cathedral, Roxas City; and the province of Antique will have it on March 22.
Cuevas said the covenant signing is a manifestation of the common desire of political candidates and other agencies involved in the election for an honest, orderly and peaceful May 10 polls. (POII Jeramae C. Rio)
