GLOBE Telecom has assured its users and subscribers of no additional costs as it embarks on a two-year modernization plan.
Globe Telecom president and chief executive officer Ernest Cu made the assurance to media practitioners in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao during the annual stockholders meeting early this week in Makati.
Cu disclosed that Globe suffered a minor decline in middle of 2011 but the business bounced back and resumed growth momentum to become the leading telecommunications company in the country.
With no additional costs for users during the modernization implementation that also include reduced access charges, Globe remains competitive and is considered as the brand choice of more than 30 million mobile customers in Asia, the Globe top official said.
Cu said 2011 is a banner year for Globe and the corporation was able to generate P9.8-billion gains despite an international economic crisis.
Globe has now more than P130 billion in assets and stockholders and users will start to feel the growth starting early May this year.
The profits in 2011 will be plowed back to the massive modernization program expected to be completed by 2013 and Globe users will not worry on additional charges, Cu said. (Lydia C. Pendon)
