Mayor Jerry P. TreƱas said FF Cruz Frassiynet Philippines, the winning bidder, posted more than P80 million savings from the agency budget estimate of P448 million. The winning bidder will construct the new City Hall building in one year.
FF Cruz is currently the builder of the new Government Service Insurance System building in Iloilo City. The mayor said the savings could fund for the ceiling, elevator, air conditioning system and furniture, which are not included in the construction cost.
The city will also look for additional parking area for the City Government vehicles as the proposed third floor parking space is not enough.
Architect William Coscolluela and consultant Engineer Conrado Goco of Pacific Orient will also join the groundbreaking. (Lydia C. Pendon)
