Health office to hold culminating activity on Nutrition Month

THE Iloilo City Health Office, in cooperation with the Rising Sun Association, World Vision and partner agencies, will hold a Nutrition Month culminating activity on Friday at the Robinsons Place Iloilo.

City Health officer Dr. Urminico Baronda said the activity will feature booths for exclusive breastfeeding counseling for mothers, nutrition counseling and photo exhibits of partner agencies.

Also included are a Tatay and Nanay cook fest, nutria-jingle, the biggest gainer, Nutrisyon Henyo and orally-fit mothers.

Baronda said that the city is celebrating Nutrition Month every year with activities to remind the residents on the importance of proper nutrition and breastfeeding for babies.

This year's theme is "Isulong ang breastfeeding, tama, sapat at ekskusibo." (Lydia C. Pendon)
