Tricycle drivers receive Christmas package

AN INITIAL batch of 100 tricycle and pedicab drivers here received a package of Christmas gifts from City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog after they participated in a civil mass wedding rite at the Jaro covered gym on Monday.
Mabilog, who officiated the mass wedding, said he is giving his personal gift of P10,000 accident insurance coverage, coursed through the Philippine National Bank, to the 100 tricycle drivers on top of the PhilHealth cards given by his office and that of Representative Jerry P. Treñas.

The city is hosting a total of 5,630 registered pedicabs and more than 3,000 tricycle units and drivers.
The initial batch of insurance coverage will cover those who participated in the mass wedding ceremony, including the PhilHealth cards so that their families will be listed down as beneficiaries.
