BUSINESSMAN Rommel Ynion promised to demolish his road-encroaching structures but until now, nothing has come out of his affidavit dated October 17, 2011.
Ynion is the owner of Bali Hotel and a nearby structure occupied by his generator set, water pump machine and transformer encroaching on the road along Duran St., Iloilo City.

Task Force Asis, the city’s arm against illegal structures, is preparing a notice of demolition to be given to Ynion for non-demolition of his structures as provided for in his subscribed and sworn affidavit.
“I hereby undertake to demolish the said structure and relocate my generator set, water pump machine and transformer should the local government or any agency of the National Government or any of its duly authorized representative requires it. That I hereby undertake the said demolition and the relocation of the affected structures at my own expense within a just and reasonable time as maybe determine by the Local/National Government concern without any compensation or re-imbursement from the Local/National Government concern,” Ynion said in his affidavit.
Earlier, Task Force Asis chief Engineer Roberto Dumanil said Bali Hotel was not given a building or construction permit and is not fully operating as there is no business permit from the City Government. (Lydia C. Pendon)
