THE Iloilo City Government is awaiting the appearance of businessman Larry Jamora, tasked by businessman Rommel Ynion, to get back the donated 10 units of electric jeepneys (e-jeeps).
According to Jeffrey Celis, spokesman of Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, the inventory and inspection of the donated 10 units of e-jeeps are already completed.

Jamora must officially represent himself at the City Government, specifically at the city legal office and the general services office for he has documents to sign in getting back the donation, Celis said.
Celis also said the Land Transportation Office (LTO) refuses to register the e-jeeps for lack of proper documents, especially the original purchase receipts. Only photocopies were presented which the LTO did not accept.
Celis said the donated e-jeeps last year are intended for a noble purpose of delivering elementary city public school pupils to their school and back. Similarly, senior citizens can also avail themselves of the free rides.
However, it is unwise and unsafe for the children and senior citizens to continue using the donated e-jeeps without proper registration and insurance, Celis said. (Lydia C. Pendon)
