The mayor acknowledged, though, that Tengco has a vast experience in traffic management and has undergone trainings sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
Tengco will undergo three to six months observation to qualify for the department head position.
Mabilog said, however, that he is still on a lookout for a city traffic technical expert and the TMTRO chief position is open for deserving applicants.
The TMTRO OIC is expected to work well and improve the traffic condition of the city, help in the codification of all traffic laws and regulations, and allow opportunities for more training on traffic.
Former TMTRO chief Nuens Mitch Antiqueña was designated as assistant building administrator as soon as the position is opened. Mabilog also appointed Rhodora Kapunan as TMTRO administrative officer.
Executive Assistant IV Mathilde Octavio, meanwhile, was appointed as supervising administrative officer of the Iloilo City Community College and will cease as the city mayor’s executive assistant for education.
The plantilla position of supervising admin officer and that of OIC TMTRO chief is Salary Grade 22 and recognized by the Civil Service Commission.
