Iloilo 'outstanding' in fiscal management

THE recent exit report of the Commission on Audit (COA) named the Iloilo City Government as outstanding in fiscal and financial management.
The COA exit report in 2011 tagged the City Government’s fiscal management as “very good,” leading up to the same high ratings in 2012.
On June 4, 2012 exit conference with Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and department heads at the new City Hall, the five-man COA team, led by Gleda Lim and Ofelia Demegillo, congratulated Mabilog for a job well done.
The COA, in its 2012 exit report, said the City Government of Iloilo has heeded immediate compliance in terms of sound fiscal management, transparency in transactions and auditing and accounting procedures.
