City gets P10M for Jaro school

THE Iloilo City Government received a P10-million financial assistance from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) for a two-storey ten-classroom building at the Jaro II Elementary School in Jaro district.
A fire gutted down the school early this year.
Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said Pagcor also financed the construction of additional classrooms at the Uswag Primary School of the Uswag Subdivision inside the San Isidro relocation site in Jaro district.
The school expansion of some P25 million is expected to upgrade the school for children of informal settlers relocated at the site. (Lydia C. Pendon)
