Guv’s Sopa to be seen on 4 widescreens inside Capitol

PEOPLE who could not be accommodated inside the session hall could view the State of the Province Address (Sopa) of Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. today August 8 via widescreen in four strategic locations.
Four widescreen projectors located inside the Iloilo Provincial Capitol building, courtesy of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) were installed in the following areas: outside the Provincial Board session hall, fourth, second and ground floors, where visitors as well as Provincial Government employees could watch the Governor’s Sopa.
At 2:30 p.m. today, Defensor will report to the people the Provincial Government’s achievements and accomplishments under his administration two years after he assumed office.
He is expected to cite the gains of his “reform and change” agenda as well as the priority thrusts of his administration as it enters its final year.
The Governor is also expected to report his administration’s achievements in various aspects such as health, agriculture, education, environmental protection, peace and order, social services, and good governance.
Invited to attend the significant occasion are the mayors of 42 towns and one component city, regional directors of different National Government agencies, Provincial Government department heads, chiefs of hospitals, members of the academe, non-government organizations (NGOs) and the media. (PR)
