Mayor to deliver Soca before August ends
-A A +ATuesday, August 7, 2012
THE much awaited State of the City Address (Soca) defining the City Government’s performance and the city’s socioeconomic status in 2011-2012 will be delivered by City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog before the end of August this year.
Mabilog assured that his report to the city constituents will be made after the Charter Day anniversary celebration on August 25 and he has not forgotten his obligation to report what he has done in the past year.
Mabilog said he was too busy in the past three months representing the city in global conferences abroad as his commitment in bringing the Iloilo City experience to international attention.
He said the international exposures have brought positive results and the city is now globally considered as willing and able to host and lead international meetings and share the expertise derived from local development projects and programs.
The Soca will also focus on the plans of making Iloilo a premier city by 2015 that transcends political alliances and interests.
Mabilog said his Soca will be simple and easy to understand but will leave a lasting effect on the constituents that, under his leadership, their City Government is there to deliver services and work to improve their lives.
