W. Visayas outstanding public servants lauded

ILOILO CITY – Five civil servants in Western Visayas made it as finalists to the list of outstanding public officials and employees under the Honor Award Program of the Civil Service Commission.

CSC regional director Rodolfo Encajonado identified the awardees as Haydee Pazuelo, State Auditor IV, Commission on Audit; Dr. Editha Magallanes, President, Capiz State University, Roxas City.

For the Pagasa Award, the finalists for Individual Category are Claire Caberoy, Pharmacist I, Provincial Health Office of Capiz; and Maricel Bechayda, LGOO IV, Department of Interior and Local Government in Kalibo, Aklan.

For the Pagasa Award, Group Category, the recipient is the Provincial Health Office of Capiz with nine members, under Dr. Samuel C. Delfin as team leader.

Encajonado said the awarding to be held at SM City activity center on September 13, 2012 is a recognition program for outstanding public officials and employees in the region who inspired civil servants to deliver excellent public service.

There were 29 nominees this year but only five were chosen as finalists to the Dangal ng Bayan, and Pagasa awards.
