City Hall services to go on despite political season
-A A +AMonday, October 8, 2012
ILOILO City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog has assured to continue all City Hall services and programs despite the political season.
“I assure everyone that City Government services will go on unhampered by politics. We have already devised the schedule of campaigning in consonance with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) rules and regulations,” Mabilog said.
Mabilog and the rest of his partymates under the Liberal Party, including reelectionists Congressman Jerry Treñas and Vice Mayor Jose Espinosa III have filed their certificates of candidacy (COC) last October 2, 2012.
The official campaign period is slated to start on March 2013 but the Commission on Elections (Comelec) will not stop visits in the barangays by not carrying campaign materials, streamers and leaflets with campaign slogans.
Mabilog said the time for barangay visits maybe done during the weekends. (Lydia C. Pendon)
