Koreans on study tour in Iloilo City

A GROUP of 17 Koreans from Bucheon, South Korea are in Iloilo City starting October 10, 2012 for a study tour of the City Government.
Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog welcomes the group, composed of professionals and local government officials, in choosing Iloilo City as their area of study, facilitated by the Local Administration Training Institute for Public Officials based in Seoul, South Korea.
The study will focus on City Government planning on successful and best practices, environmental program, parliamentary procedures and balance scorecard.
The visit of the delegation headed by Bucheon environmental officer Lee Bong Ho is also expected to foster and strengthen friendly relations between the cities of Iloilo and Ducheon.
Iloilo City is an education center for benchmarking of sectoral initiatives and its city hall is ready to host lectures and trainings for local, national and international groups. (Lydia C. Pendon)
