Mayor reminds employees to respect constituents

MAYOR Jed Patrick Mabilog said he is reminding all Iloilo City Hall employees and volunteers to give due respect to all constituents and provide services needed.
Mabilog said what had happened to Christsanto Carillo, 34, a resident of West Habog-Habog Molo at the hands of two city health doctors must not be emulated by all city employees.
“This is a signal to all City Hall employees, including casuals and job hires that the City Government is not tolerating arrogant employees and we don’t need employees who are arrogant,” Mabilog said.
An affidavit of complaint was submitted by Carillo to the Mayor’s office on Wednesday, October 31, detailing what had happened to him while seeking medical attention at the Molo health center last week.
Mabilog said the complainant cried in front of him narrating his ordeal at the hands of the two doctors at their assigned health center.
The complainant told the city mayor that doctors May Ann Zulueta and June Frances del Rosario denied medical attention and services to him and even insulted him for seeking assistance at the center.
Mabilog said the two doctors are contractual workers of the city health office and their services are terminated effective Wednesday, October 31, 2012. (Lydia C. Pendon)
