3 businesses to launch in Iloilo

THREE big businesses are expected to be unveiled on Friday, January 18, 2013 in Iloilo City, said Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog.
Mabilog said he together with Ilonggo Senator Franklin Drilon, and City lone district Representative Jerry Treñas will join some officials of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) in the groundbreaking rites for a multi-million peso fast craft and a roll-on roll-off terminals at Barangay Progreso, Lapuz District here.
The two mentioned projects, according to Mabilog, will provide a new berthing site for the port terminals to decongest the heavy traffic at PPA port at the Muelle Loney.
Mabilog added that the construction of the two projects will start this month after clearing out the informal settlers and other commercial occupants of the more than one-hectare government lot in Barangay Progreso.
Mabilog also said that after the groundbreaking rites, he together with Drilon and other officials will proceed to the unveiling of the expansion plan of Gaisano Capital.
He said officials of the Gaisano Capital and some government officials will witness the launching of the P1-billion worth retail store.
He said the retail store is located at the 20-hectare lot Gaisano and will also host other commercial buildings and shopping malls near the Dungon Creek.
Mabilog said the new investments in Iloilo City will lure investors, business locators and industrialists.
