GAISANO, a leading name in shopping malls in the Visayas and Mindanao, is set to put up a P2 billion property investment Iloilo City in a move to change the skyline of the city.
Carlos Legara of Gaisano said the property investment will be known as the Iloilo City Center soon to be constructed in the company's 20-hectare property along the diversion road here.
Designed by TVA@P and Goldpeach Properties, the area will have a mix-use design for commercial, residential, restaurants, hotel, a park and special shopping center.
The investment was unveiled last Friday, January 18, with guests Senator Franklin Drilon, City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and the city's lone district Representative Jerry Treñas.
Drilon said that political leaders in Cebu are fighting it out to dislodge one another and gambling lords in Luzon are killing each other. While here in Iloilo, the team of Drilon, Mabilog and Treñas are working closely together to get back Iloilo City in the map as an important investment destination outside of Metro Manila.
Gaisano expanded investment is a faith entrusted to Iloilo City as it was among the first to put up a shopping mall in the city.
Mabilog said the Gaisano project will help push the city to realize the dream of becoming a premier city by 2015. (Sunnex)
