-A A +AMonday, January 21, 2013
THE city social hall of the Department of Education city schools division is currently undergoing a renovation and upgrading to become a modern Diamond Jubilee Hall.
An amount of P50 million from the local school board under its special Education Fund (SEF) was released recently to cover the construction cost.
Similarly, all activities slated to be conducted at the social hall are diverted to other venues as the social hall construction will take about one year.
When completed, the city’s Diamond Jubilee Hall will emerge as one of the most modern facility by a local school board in the country.
The local school board here is chaired by city mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and co-chaired by DepEd city superintendent of schools Nelly Valerio. ( Lydia C. Pendon)
