THE Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) is set to open satellite offices in five congressional districts of Iloilo to expand the humanitarian services and serve more people in the rural areas.

Former senator Richard Gordon, currently with PNRC Board, said the expansion plan will envision one PNRC satellite office in each congressional district of Iloilo by bringing the services directly to the people.

Gordon said the PNRC will be very visible and will always be there in areas that need help especially in times of crisis, calamity or tragedy as its mandate.

The congressional district PNRC satellite offices will be provided with one ambulance each and will facilitate the needs of the people with immediate referrals from the PNRC main office in the city. (Lydia C. Pendon)
