A FESTIVE mood welcomed Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. and other officials during the inauguration of the Multi-purpose Teen Center in Leonora S. Salapantan National High School in San Miguel, Iloilo on Thursday.
San Miguel is the host of the eighth school-based Multi-purpose Teen Center established in the province through the Provincial Population Office.
Defensor allotted P300,000 for the project, which aims to contribute to the empowerment and development of adolescents and youth by providing a venue and facility where they can develop their potentials as individuals.
The inauguration was attended by San Miguel Mayor Victor Saclauso, provincial first lady Cosette Defensor, Provincial Schools Division Superintendent Myrna Castillo, Population Commission’s Angie Tanong-tanong, and the faculty and students of Leonora S. Salapantan National High School.

Two more teen centers will be inaugurated soon, namely, Igbaras National High School on February 5 and Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School on February 13.
