Iloilo City Council bet vows to remove own campaign posters

FORMER Iloilo City councilor, and candidate in this year’s elections, Eduardo Peñaredondo vowed to personally remove his posters and other campaign materials when the campaign period for local candidates takes off on March 29.
Peñaredondo was under fire for having the most number of posters in the barangays which he said are donations from his friends and supporters.
Peñaredondo, however, said already told his supporters to only post his campaign ads on public places and public buildings so as not to pose hazards to barangay residents.
He said he is definitely abiding by the rules of the Commission on Elections governing the May 13, 2013 midterm elections.
He added that he is confident the city voting population will not forget him in the coming election.
Peñaredondo belong to the administration party and the group of city mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, vice mayor Jose Espinosa III and city congressman Jerry P. Treñas.
