CSC awards Seal of Excellence to 3 DTI offices

THE Civil Service Commission (CSC) has awarded three provincial offices of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Western Visayas with a Seal of Excellence being citizen's satisfaction centers.
CSC Commissioner Robert Martinez led the awarding rites on Thursday in recognizing the DTI provincial offices of Capiz, Iloilo and Negros Occidental as symbols of good governance for their improved efficiency in the delivery of government service to the public by reducing bureaucratic red tape, preventing graft and corruption, and providing penalties therefore.
DTI regional director Dominique Abad said the three provincial offices have undergone a series of screening through a Report Card survey on the implementation of Anti-Red Tape Act in government agencies.
Western Visayas has a target of 41 government agencies out of the 560 agencies as national target. To be covered by the survey in the distribution of agencies in the region are Aklan, 5; Antique, 5; Capiz, 5; Guimaras, 1; Iloilo, 9; and Negros Occidental, 16.
The CSC recognized eight agencies as Excellent, 20 as Good, 3 as Acceptable, and 10 Failed.
The eight awardees in the region for the Citizen's Satisfaction Center Seal of Excellence are BIR Revenue District No. 76 in Victorias City, Negros Occidental; BIR Revenue District Office No. 77 in Bacolod City; DTI Capiz which received a rating of 92.5 percent; DTI Iloilo with a high rating of 98.8 percent; DTI Negros Occidental with a rating of 90.8 percent; PhilHealth in Passi City, Iloilo; PhilHealth in Bacolod City; and PhilHealth in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
