VARIOUS government projects and services in Iloilo City are affected by the halting of allocations from the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog confirmed.
Mabilog said the pending PDAF of lone city district Representative Jerry Treñas and other congressmen and senators affected the city’s programs such as financial, educational, and medical and hospitalization services, among others.
He assured, however, that they will still continue to provide aid to the Iloilo residents.
He said the City Government will take over from the office of the city congressmen the free coffin services to indigent families with the city allocation until the end of the year.
Mabilog also assured the continuation of the city’s financial assistance program, but with “extra care” to identify those in real need.
