A TOTAL of 88 persons are set to leave Iloilo City next month after they were hired for Saudi Arabia.
The 88 new hires are part of the 179 people who applied for work at the Public Employment Service Office (Peso) of the Iloilo City Government.
The Peso has facilitated the direct hiring at one time only of the 88 persons for deployment at the new McDonald’s fast food center in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Peso Manager Ma. Elena Benitez said the deployment of city workers is made possible by YHMD Int’l Manpower Services Inc., a registered recruitment agency by the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) and the Department of Labor and Employment.
The recruitment agency demanded no placement and processing fees.
The recruitment is ongoing for 50 general maintenance personnel, 30 assistant managers, 500 service crews, 50 star party hosts and 200 delivery men with valid driver’s license.
The contract is two years renewable with a starting salary of P14,000 with free food, accommodation, transportation, medical in Saudi and free residence certificate.
City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog was enthusiastic of the employment opportunities given to some residents of this city and said he is looking forward to more deployment for work abroad of the local working force.
Peso is updating its registry of pool applicants in different positions ready for the recruitment agencies to conduct personal interviews of the applicants, Benitez said.
