The event brings together for the second time small entrepreneurs with potentials for wholesaling in the barangays. Through the activity, they could avail of services offered for barangay-based sari-sari storeowners like them by the government and the private sector.

The convention will be participated in by representatives of Procter & Gamble Phils., Unilever Phils., Nestle Phils., Department of Trade and Industry, and micro-finance promoters Taytay sa Kauswagan (TSK), Bayan Foundation of ABS-CBN, Valiant micro-financing, and Haligi Foundation Inc.

Procter & Gamble representatives will discuss the running of a sari-sari store business while Unilever will talk of ways storeowners can survive in today’s market.

Nestle Phils representatives will tackle the topic “Good warehousing and bulk buying” while DTI provincial director Wilhelm Malones will speak on “Fair Trade Laws.” TSK and ABS-CBN will handle “Micro-Financing Programs.” (LCP)
