LABRADOR -- Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group (PASG) operatives raided a warehouse owned by Mayor Ernesto Acain of this town to check on reported smuggled goods being kept there.
The raiding team was led by lawyer Dave Alunan who also heads the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Dagupan. They were armed with a mission order signed by PASG chief Antonio Villar Jr.

Accordingly, the raid was made after a weeklong surveillance confirmed the alleged smuggled goods.
Mayor Acain said he did not show any resistance to the raiding team when they came to verify the smuggled goods in the warehouse.
All the vehicles inside the warehouse, as well as the motorbikes and bicycles, are registered and covered with pertinent documents, said Acain.
He said the PASG team brought the confiscated vehicles, including an Eclipse car and Isuzu bighorn, to the NBI compound in Dagupan City.
The mayor was set to go to NBI-Dagupan Wednesday afternoon to present the documents or papers of the vehicles and bikes.
Acain said the acquisition value of the vehicles and bikes is just more than P1 million.
The vehicles, he said, are used or second hand, which he reconditioned. (LCMY/Sunnex)
