A MINOR died and three others were injured following an ambush at a remote village in Pikit town in North Cotabato on Thursday night, a police official reported Friday.
Senior Inspector Elias Dandan, Pikit town police chief, said the fatality was 15-year-old Naima Adula, a resident of Datu Odin Sinsuat town in Maguindanao.

Injured were Musrifa Sabarat, 41; Sammy Salim, 39; and Johaire Ocsio Sabarat, 16.
Dandan said the victims were aboard a Mitsubishi Montero sports utility vehicle and a Nissan Frontier pick-up and traversing Batuwalan village around 10 p.m. when they were waylaid by at least 15 suspects.
Authorities are still investigating the possible motive of the attack and the identities of the suspects.
A number of armed groups are known to be operating in the province, including the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
Dandan said that based on the initial investigation conducted by his office, the two vehicles were on convoy from Davao City to Cotabato City when the suspects opened fire. (VR/Sunnex)
