SHARING same big screen with Megastar Sharon Cuneta seemed like an elusive dream for actress Angel Locsin.

Although the Megastar has chosen Angel to be part of her “Mano Po” sequel movie under Regal films, the young actress seemed indefinite to be included in the cast because of an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN’s film arm Star Cinema.

“My career would not be complete if I have not worked with the Megastar… I really wanted to work with her... But I don’t think it is possible because I have exclusive contract with Star Cinema and there will be legality issues…,” she said.

Angel had a rift with Regal Films before when she allegedly signed an exclusive contract with Star Cinema while under contract with Regal. But she said that she already ironed things out with the film outfit.

“My contract with them was eight movies and I completed nine movies so I already settled problems with them. I don’t even want to talk about it further because everything is well now,” she begged.

The issue on working with Regal, she said, is still under discussion. What she revealed that she is 100 percent sure of is the movie Star Cinema is cooking for her and male superstar Aga Muhlach.

“I will be doing a project with Kuya Aga (Muhlach) under the direction of Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina,” she shared. This movie is set to be shown towards the end of this year.

Angel will also be doing a movie with Director Chito Roño with a working title “Etiquette of a Mistress.”

If ever she will not be allowed to work with Sharon in “Mano Po 6: My Mother,” Angel said she might possibly work with the Megastar in a film to be produced by Star Cinema.

Aside from hectic movie commitments, Angel is also busy with her TV projects. She revealed that they are working on the last few episodes of their hit localized series “Only You.”

She said the originally “Only You” should be aired for 15 weeks only and they are currently in their 10th week. She, however, did not confirm if there will be an extension.

For her next project, Angel said she heard that she might be doing a project with John Lloyd. “I will be needing more workshops if that’s true because he is a very good actor,” she said.

In a nut shell, Angel is up to do two films this year and one soap for next year. (JRDB/Sunnex)
