Anne's daily routine changes for Showtime

THE energy of Kapamilya Star Anne Curtis is very fit for the newest talent show in the morning, Showtime.

“Someone told me that my energy is different. I think so. I think that's true,” she said with a smile.

She grooves to the music as the contestants perform even when not on cam.

Co-hosting with funnyman Vhong Navarro, weather forecaster Kim Atienza, and band vocalists Teddy Corpuz, and Jugs Jugueta, Anne represents the female spirit among them.

Anne accepted the project because of its timeliness.

“Di ba this is trend right now - videos in Youtube, which features undiscovered talents. That's why I was really amused,” she said.

Unlike previous shows she hosted such as reality shows Star Circle Kids Quest and Q-pids, Showtime is telecasted live every day.

Anne shared she would have loved being a judge because the show features a unique twist - the viewers can vote out a judge from the 5 member panel.

Hosting Showtime came as a surprise for Anne since it was not included in her contract with mother network ABS-CBN, which includes a teleserye.

“It was funny because I was in the Wowowee tour. While on tour, I got a message from Vhong. 'Too bad you're not here.' I told him, 'I think you sent the wrong message Vhong," she said in the vernacular.

Afterwards, she also received a message from Wowowee host Mariel Rodriguez congratulating her for the new show.

She learned from her manager that they were waiting for her to arrive from the United States to present the offer.

Aside from Showtime, Anne is set to star in a movie with former flame Sam Milby early next year and a teleserye during the second semester of next year.

The working title of the first movie team up of Anne and Sam is "Maybe It's You." Tapings will start as soon as Sam arrives from the United States, according to Anne.

Earlier, the actress wrapped up the teleserye The Wedding which co-starred her with Zanjoe Marudo and Derek Ramsay.

Since Maging Sino Ka Man, where her team up with Sam was first launched, Anne, the fantaserye Dyosa, has been swamped with continuous projects.

From overnight tapings for teleseryes, Anne's body clock was adjusted for her new brunchtime show. Showtime is being aired at 11 a.m.

"My body really adjusted. If I was taping, I would have been still asleep at 11 a.m. because we usually finish at 5 a.m., 6 a.m. For this, 8 a.m. or 7:30 a.m., I need to wake up because I live in Parañaque," she shared.

Anne lives the house at 9 a.m. in time for their 10:40 a.m. call time.

“My body clock got used to me waking up early. During the first few days, even if I wake up early, I still sleep late. It didn't work. But now, since I wake up early every day, I can already sleep early. Around midnight or 1 a.m.”

Partying till the wee hours in the morning had to be replaced with last full shows in the cinemas or "gimik" at home.

“No more gimik. I told my friends, if you want to see me, just visit me at home. We can play Rock Band!” Anne said.

But Anne admitted a new addiction that keeps her up late at night at home - she's also one of the many who are currently addicted to social networking site Facebook, which offers many flash games.

"One night, I couldn't sleep because I kept on playing Farmville. I made this my twitter status: Paki-explain po sa akin kung bakit nakakaadik ang Farmville (Please explain why Farmville is so addicting). Because it's really addicting," she said.

"If not Farmville, there's a new one now - Cafe World. I segue the two between each other. I visit all my friends' restaurant to acquire coins," Anne admitted. (Angela Casauay/Sunnex)
