READER'S Digest has officially appointed Emerald Headway Distributors Inc. as its new magazine distributor in the Philippines.

The decision to change suppliers is in line with Reader’s Digest’s strategy to increase its focus on personalizing its services for customers.

“We are continually looking for ways to improve and streamline our systems and we are delighted with this new appointment of Emerald Headway as it will create a more seamless and personal experience for our customers,” says Walter Beyleveldt, managing director Reader’s Digest APAC.

In the mean time, all previously paid subscriptions should notice no change to their delivery of services. Upon subscription renewal, customers can also now look forward to payments conveniently collected at the door.

“Emerald Headway is excited about its new role with Reader’s Digest and we are confident we can improve on already high customer service levels with a more personalized person-to-person telemarketing model going forward,” says Emerald Headway’s Miriam Bangalit.

A US-based global media and direct marketing company, Reader's Digest connects over 145 million consumers around the world. Among its over 85 magazines with an estimated global readership of over 100 million, it has a 90-year heritage of publishing Reader's Digest magazine.

This is now circulated in over 100 countries, including the Philippines since 1985. The Reader’s Digest business in the Philippines today goes beyond the magazine and its online counterpart, to the marketing and sales of books and music products. (PR)
