Carlene Aguilar confirms marriage issue

EVERYONE was surprised when the news circulated that beauty queen turned actress Carlene Aguilar got married weeks ago, now the lady is finally setting all issues straight.

In a television interview with the actress, she said she never denied being married to non-showbiz boyfriend Yo Ocampo.

“Hindi ko siya di-deny at hindi ko rin sinabi publicly dahil siyempre private person si Yo and gusto niya mas tahimik na buhay.”

According to Carlene, the proposal and the wedding went so fast the next thing she knows, she was married already.

“Nagmamahalan kami at dun din naman pupunta kaya bakit pa namin papatagalin,” she kids.

The two were married last June 20, 2009 in a civil wedding at the Quezon City Hall and it was just attended by close friends and family.

“Sobrang close friends lang namin, yung hindi mga celebrities and simpleng-simple lang din,” she shared.

The two will have a church wedding soon but according to Carlene they are still planning everything because her husband wants a grand church wedding for them.

The beauty queen said her family was little bit hesitant at first when they asked their permission for them to settle down, but eventually “they gave us the blessings.”

Carlene is the eldest in the family and has a son with Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo.

When asked if Dennis knows all about her marriage, she said she was able to talk to him and the latter was a bit surprised with her settling down.

“Nagulat din siya... Siguro meron din siyang dapat malaman dahil siyempre father siya ng baby ko. Siyempre dahil titira ang baby namin sa ibang lalaki.”

She added though that everything will remain the same and Dennis will forever be Calix's father and no one can replace that.

Carlene said Dennis is more the disciplinarian between the two of them when it comes to their son and that she's a bit a giver.

When asked if there's a possibility that Calix will used the surname of her husband, Carlene said she is open to the possibility especially that she doesn't want Calix to feel left out in the family.

“Siyempre ang pangit din naman na iba ang apelyido (Calix) sa ibang nyang mga kapatid if ever magkaroon ng mga kapatid.”

But Carlene admitted that she wasn't able to talk to Dennis about the matter.

His side

On a separate interview, Dennis wasn't keen on his son's using someone's surname even if its Carlen's husband.

“Hindi ganun kasi anak ko yun eh. Huwag na lang natin yun pag-usapan kasi hindi magandang pinag-uusapan yun. Basta anak ko yun, period,” he said.

He however said Carlene's marriage was welcome news to him especially that they've remained friend after their break-up.

Dennis added that nothing will change about his relationship with Calix and Carlene, even though his then lady love was married to someone else. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
