Christian Bautista with beautiful girls-A A +A
Friday, January 8, 2010
ASIA's pop idol and romantic balladeer Christian Bautista was surrounded by four gorgeous ladies while doing his music video for the song "Beautiful Girl."
In his album "Christian Bautista Romance Revisited," Christian sung the hit love songs of Jose Marie Chan such as Tell Me Your Name, I Remember the Girl, Beautiful Girl, Can We Just Stop and Talk A While and more.
For his latest music video, Christian shares the MTV scene with Anne Curtis, Angel Locsin, Georgina Wilson, and Solenn Heusaff.
Sun.Star asked Christian on who he thinks is the most beautiful of the four ladies. To which, he replied: “Anne, lahat sila magaganda, iba't-iba yung looks nila pero siguro kasi mas matagal ko ng kilala si Anne, mas matagal ko na syang kasama (All of them are beautiful, they have different looks but I know Anne for a while already. I was able to work with her).”
In a separate interview with Treb Monteras, director of the music video, he said it was a bit difficult to find girls who will suit for the MTV.
"The girl must be beautiful must not only be beautiful in the outside but also in the inside like Anne and Angel who put up a website for the Ondoy victims," he said.
Christian added that they considered the availability of artists whom they want to get for the MTV.
"Nakatrabaho ko na si Angel sa Mano Po, si Anne sa Kampanerang Kuba (I was able to work with Angel in Mano Po movie, Anne in Kampanerang Kuba) and we got two of the good looking and top of the line supermodels, Solenn and Georgina so we are really hitting everything," Christian said.
Monteras said the "Beautiful Girl" MTV is a modern version of Jose Marie Chan's music video in the 80s wherein big and lovely stars like Sharon Cuneta, Sheryll Cruz, and Vilma Santos were cast.
"Dito ginawa din namin, yung most beautiful girls of this generation pero apat na lang na kung sino talaga yung pinakamaganda (Here what we did is to narrow down to four the beautiful girls of this generation)," Monteras said.
When asked on what is different from this music video as compared to almost 200 plus MTVs he had already done, Monteras said they kept this one very light.
"Ito medjo light kasi nagfocus lang kami dun sa ganda nung mga model. Walang sexy, very wholesome at talagang nakafocus lang sa mga girls (This very light because we focused on the beauty of the models. No sexy (scene) very wholesome)."
Girls in real life
Christian was likewise asked by the entertainment press if he ever experience to be surrounded by beautiful women in real life.
"Gusto ko marami pero hindi pa nangyayari," Christian said.
He added: "Kung wala naman akong intensyon at friendly dates lang naman sa real life sa tingin ok lang yun. Ang hindi ko magagawa eh yung liligawan ko ng sabay yung apat. Yun ang hindi ko gagawin (If I have no intentions (romantically) and just friendly dates I think its ok. The only thing I can't do is to court four women at the same time. That I cannot do)."
Though he doesn't like to court girls all at the same time, Christian was happily forced to do so in the music video where in he had a date with Solenn in the morning, followed by a lunch date with Georgina, a mid afternoon stroll will Angel and a dinner date with Anne.
Christian said he wasn't nervous during the shoot and in fact was enjoying the company of the four girls.
"Mabait silang lahat at professional, madaling katrabaho (They are all very kind and professional, easy to work with)," he said.
The Pop Idol is also conquering the international music scene.
Christian was able to shoot a music video for the song "Please Be Careful With My Heart," which he sung in Bahasa and English with Indonesian star Bunga Citra Lestari.
The 10-track album will be released by the last week of January and the single will be launch in two weeks time.
Christian said the music industry in Jakarta is very different from “what we have here in the Philippines.”
"Iba dun sa Indonesia, talagang ang daming location tapos film ang ginagamit, talagang iba yung working style nila. Dito sa Philippines lagi tayong on a budget, or lagi tayong mabilis (It was different in Indonesia, there they have so many locations and they are using film, they really have a different working style unlike here in the Philippines we are always on a budget or we are always working so fast)," he said.
Christian and all his family also celebrated the New Year in Indonesia.
"I brought my family there for my New Year show, nandun ako ng 29 tapos dumating sila ng 29 evening tapos nag count down show ako ng 31 tapos nagbakasyon kami ng 1, umalis kami ng 2 (we were there on the 29, they arrived in the evening and then I had a countdown show on the 31 after that we had some time to relax on the January 01, then we left on January 02).”
Because of his projects in Jakarta, Christian said he will be staying there most of the time.
“In a way yes, mas dadalas ako dun, mas ipo-promote natin yung album dun kasi who gets this chance. Ngayon lang ulit ako nagkaroon ng presence sa Indonesia. It took a while, 1st, 2nd, 3rd album sa fourth medjo nag-lie low konti so ngayon lang ulit pumpalo so I really need to work on it talaga,” he said.
Christian then added that the crowd in Indonesia was not as "tough" as what we have here in the Philippines. He said the crowd is more participative and usually sings with him.
He also shares to the entertainment press that he already received a text message from Malaysia saying that he needs to record a song there.
With his latest album "Romance Revisited" goes on Platinum already, Christian said it was really his goal to reach Diamond status.
Christian is likewise aspiring to penetrate the European and American music industry.
"Some might say that it’s too big or I dream big but I'm not closing any doors kasi kung binigyan naman ng opportunity why not pero aminado na mahirap talaga yung labanan dun (because once you were given an opportunity why not, but the competition is really stiff)."
Christian added: "But if I could produce even one song then they will like it, I'm okay with it already." (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
